Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026. This page explains clearly and simply what information BTECHub collects from visitors, why, and how you can control it.

The short version

We don't collect more than we need

BTECHub is an educational reference site, and it doesn't require an account or sensitive personal data to use. The only information we handle is what you choose to give us (in comments), or simple technical data for the visitor counter.

1. Visitor counter

When you visit the site, we temporarily record your IP address (for up to one year) only so we don't count you twice as a new visitor on the same day. This is used only to show the total visitor count at the bottom of the page, and is never sold or shared with any third party.

2. Comments and ratings

If you write a comment or star rating, the name, text, and rating you submit become publicly visible on the site, and are stored on our servers (Vercel and Upstash) until you ask us to delete them. Please don't include sensitive information or your phone number in a comment.

3. Dark mode preference

Your light/dark mode preference is saved only in your browser (localStorage) — it never reaches any server, and stays on your device until you clear it.

4. External links

Links to Discord, WhatsApp, and similar platforms take you to services independent of us, each with its own privacy policy — review it there before joining.

Your rights

Want a comment deleted, or to ask about your data?

You can ask us to delete any comment you wrote, or ask about any information stored about you, by contacting us directly on Discord or WhatsApp, or through the developer's profile. We'll get back to you as quickly as we can.

Children's privacy

BTECHub is aimed at high-school (Tawjihi) students, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive data from minor visitors without parental awareness. If you notice any inappropriate content in the comments section, let us know right away and we'll remove it.

Updates to this policy

We may update this page from time to time to reflect any change to the site or the services we use. The last-updated date always appears at the top of the page.
